Which one leaves you with more?

Enter what a client pays you and see Payoneer, Wise, and PayPal side by side, down to the pesos that land in your account.

The short answer

For most Filipino freelancers getting paid in dollars, Wise and Payoneer leave you with more than PayPal. PayPal charges a receiving fee and adds a markup on the exchange rate, so on a $500 payment you can lose over ₱1,500 more with PayPal than with Wise. Run your own amount below to see the gap.

Compare payment providers

Adjust the fees if your account differs. Defaults reflect typical rates for receiving dollars in the Philippines.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wise or Payoneer better for Filipino freelancers?

Both are strong. Wise usually gives the closest exchange rate with a small transfer fee, while Payoneer is handy when a platform or client pays out to it directly. Many freelancers keep both and use whichever the client supports.

Why does PayPal cost more?

PayPal charges a receiving fee on the payment and adds a margin when it converts dollars to pesos. Those two together often make it the most expensive way to get paid, even though it is the most familiar.

How can I lower payment fees?

Ask clients to pay in dollars to Wise or Payoneer instead of PayPal, withdraw in larger batches to spread fixed fees, and always price the fee into your rate so it never comes out of your pocket.

Are these the exact fees I’ll pay?

No. They’re close estimates so you can compare. Fees shift with the amount, the currencies, and how the payment is funded, so confirm the live rate with each provider before a big transfer.
